Although Quantum Alloys produces a wide variety of nickel-copper scrap blends, the following blends are our most popular: 53% Ni – 28% Cu, 45%Ni – 36% Cu, 40% Ni – 40% Cu. These blends are used to make various grades of stainless steel such as 15-5 Ph, 17-4 Ph, 201, 301, 825, and 904. While these are some of the more common steel grades in which Quantum’s scrap blends are utilized, we can customize a blend that can be incorporated into any grade of steel that requires both nickel and copper. Quantum Alloys’ customers are able to save money by using our blends in their heats instead of using prime nickel and copper scrap or a melted scrap product.
